I am Thomas B. McGeachy, and I am honored to serve as the instructional leader of Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School (NRM-ECHS) – home of the "Eagles." NRM-ECHS is known for its dedication to excellence, as well as the holistic growth and development of scholars. As an AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) school, we provide our scholars with a rigorous learning experience that prepares them for career and college success. As the parent of an alumnus, I can personally attest to our faculty and staff's role in forging the success of every scholar.
Over the past 16 years, I have worked as a teacher and administrator. My most important responsibility in each of those roles was – and continues to be – advocating for young people. I will spend time with our scholars, getting to know their personalities, learning styles, and interests. I will celebrate their successes and encourage them every day so they know they are valued and loved within our "Eagle" family.
I firmly believe that educating a child is a partnership between the school, parents/guardians, and the community. I invite you to actively join us to help your scholar attain their personal goals. All decisions and actions taken at NRM-ECHS will be made with the best interests of scholars in mind.
Once again, I am thankful to have the honor of serving as the principal of NRM-ECHS. I am excited about the successes that await "Eagle" scholars this year!
