Nash County Public Schools Observes Unity Day by Wearing Orange      NASH COUNTY, N.C. – Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) is participating in Unity Day today, Oct. 16, 2024, by wearing orange to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Students, teachers, and staff across the district are united in their commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students.      What is Unity Day?   Unity Day, organized by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, is observed annually in October as part of National Bullying Prevention Month. The event raises awareness about bullying and encourages communities to foster respect and unity. Wearing orange symbolizes warmth and safety, sending a powerful message that every student belongs and deserves to feel safe and accepted.  Staff members from Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School observed Unity Day by wearing orange to promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
