Please be advised of the new operating hours for CITI High School and Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School for the 2024-2025 school year. This change is due to CITI High's relocation to the Nash Community College campus and the resulting adjustments to our transportation schedule.
The new school hours will be as follows:
Monday - Thursday: 9:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Friday: 9:15 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
These revised hours will allow us to better accommodate the needs of our students and staff, ensuring a smooth transition to the new campus and improving overall efficiency.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we implement these changes. If you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact CITI High or Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High.


Summer Meals offered for NCPS Scholars ages 18 and under. Meals only served Monday-Thursday. See the flyer attached for locations and times meals will be served.

This is Principal McGeachy with the last weekly call for the 2023-24 school year! Before I get the announcements, I want to thank all Eagle Families for your involvement and support, which has contributed to another successful year at ECHS. I will continue to provide updates on our school website throughout the summer. Have a safe and relaxing summer!
The ECHS Class of 2024 will participate in commencement on Tuesday, May 21st, at 2:00 p.m. This is a ticketed event and will be held in the Brown Auditorium on the campus of Nash Community College. The event will also be available via a livestream link located on the Nash County Public Schools website. 91 scholars will walk across the stage this year, making this the largest graduating class in the history of ECHS.
Scholars identified for participation in the Summer Opportunity for EOC tests must be at the school by 9:00 a.m. on their assigned testing date. Math I and Math 3 will be offered on May 22nd, and Biology and English II will be provided on May 23rd.
Families will be notified when final grades and report cards are posted in PowerSchool.
And now Savanna Wells, Class of 2024, will provide her popular joke of the week. She will be followed by a farewell message from a few of her fellow graduates.

This week is TESTING please remember to be quiet!! EOC testing usually lasts up until 2:30 p.m. Therefore, to minimize distractions to the testing environment, early checkouts for scholars will not begin until 2:30. Parents may email Mrs. Copeland one day in advance to coordinate early checkouts for their scholars. GOOD LUCK TO ALL SCHOLARS!!
Please remember that you have to take out your items before coming into the school building for a security check.
All lunches from the grill must be pre-ordered. If you are late to class due to picking up lunch from the grill you will be asked to receive a tardy.
Make sure to check your Nash NCC emails and high school emails at least twice a day and provide a reply to respondents.

May 17th is the last day of school for the 2023-2024 school year. We are excited to celebrate with you during the End-of-the-Year Celebration. The celebration begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 2:00 PM. The EOY celebration is for ECHS Scholars only!

This is Principal McGeachy, and I want to begin by extending Happy Mother’s Day wishes to all of the moms. Believe it or not, we are in the final week of school, and here are this week’s updates:
A huge congratulations to our scholars who graduated from NCC this past Friday night. It was a great commencement ceremony, and it was nice to see families celebrating with their scholars.
The ENG II EOC and 1st Block teacher-made exams begin tomorrow. Please visit our school website for the week’s testing schedule. As a reminder, EOC testing usually lasts up until 2:30 p.m. Therefore, to minimize distractions to the testing environment, early checkouts for scholars will not begin until 2:30. Parents may email Mrs. Copeland one day in advance to coordinate early checkouts for their scholars.
One final reminder regarding the Summer Opportunity. Students who pass their EOC class (Biology, Math I, Math 3, & ENG II) but are not proficient on the EOC will be expected to take the EOC test again during the Summer Opportunity. The Summer Opportunity for Math I and Math 3 will be offered on May 22nd, and Biology and English II will be offered on May 23rd. Testing will begin at 8:00 a.m. on those days. Scholars who qualify for the Summer Opportunity test but do not take the assessment will not receive credit for the class.
If your scholar has medications in our School Nurse’s office, please make arrangements with Nurse Reason to have them picked up by Friday, May 17th.
Lastly, Friday, May 17th, is a full day of school, and there will be an end-of-year celebration from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. This celebration is for current ECHS scholars only.
