Good Morning, Eagle Family! Today is Monday, May 6th, and here are the morning announcements. Please see the flyers attached. Scholars please remember to have your parents sign the Model Release Form so that your photos can be used on our school’s website, social media platforms, yearbook, and much more! If you need a paper copy of the form, see Mrs. Copeland in the front office. The Model Release form can be found on the school’s website. Ask your AVID teacher for assistance! We have 7 extra Yearbooks for sale. Yearbooks will go on sale Monday, May 6th - Friday May 10th only. Yearbooks are $53.38 CASH AND THE EXACT AMOUNT. You may come during your AVID time or FREE TIME; please DO NOT skip or miss class to purchase a yearbook. You will not be able to purchase a yearbook after 3:00 Monday-Thursday and after 1:00 on Friday, May 10th. We have 5 instructional school days left until the EOC. Please remember that you have to take out your items before coming into the school building for a security check. All lunches from the grill must be pre-ordered. If you are late to class due to picking up lunch from the grill you will be asked to receive a tardy. Make sure to check your Nash NCC emails and high school emails at least twice a day and provide a reply to respondents. Please do not eat food in the maker space. Mrs. Jenkins is collecting College Textbooks until May 15th. FCA will have devotion at 9:15 every Friday in Mrs. Renck’s room. Please feel free to join them. Mr. Denton has sent an email about schedule changes. Please fill out the Google form for any changes. This link will close this Friday, May 10th. Our End of the Year Celebration will be May 17th on the front lawn from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. This event is for ECHS students only. Please bring a towel, bottled water, and money for the food trucks. This week is Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!!! Take a moment to say thank you to your teachers for all that they do.

SECU representatives, Mrs. Brooks and Mr. Williford presented Mason Deal with the SECU People Helping People Scholarship at the Class of 2024 Awards Banquet. Mason will attend North Carolina University majoring in Computer Engineering. Congratulations, Mason. We are very proud of you!

Good evening, Eagle Families! Happy Cinco de Mayo! This is Principal McGeachy, and this week’s updates will be provided by a special guest, Savanna Wells, a member of the ECHS Class of 2024! : We want to thank all of the families who were able to come out and celebrate with us last Thursday during the Super Senior Awards Dinner. There are just 5 instructional days remaining before EOC Exams and Summer Opportunity: Students who pass their EOC class (Biology, Math I, Math 3, & ENG II) and are not proficient on the EOC will be expected to take the EOC again during the Summer Opportunity. The Summer Opportunity for Math I and Math 3 will be offered on May 22nd and Biology and English II will be offered on May 23rd. Testing will begin at 8:00 a.m. on those days. Scholars who qualify for the Summer Opportunity test but do not take the assessment will not receive credit for the class. Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week! Please take a moment to share your appreciation for your scholar’s teacher this week! Our teachers are totally committed to the success of all scholars, and we appreciate the time they spend preparing for instruction—not only during school hours but also late nights and weekends. The Early College High School would like to announce Zoie Vincent has been selected to represent the Nash-Rocky Mount Early College High School on WITN’s Class of 2024 High School Senior Spotlight. We are proud of you, Zoie! Congratulations on being selected to represent your peers. We wish you the best of luck at Johnson and Wales University next year. John Boulden and Emma Grace Davis, Class of 2024, were honored at Rocky Mount Evening Optimist Club during their Youth Appreciation Celebration. Both scholars were selected due to their academic accomplishments and volunteer hours at school and in their community. Congratulations, Emma and John. We are proud of you.

Good evening, Eagle Families! This is Principal McGeachy with your updates as the month of April comes to an end: Starting off, I want to say that our scholars looked amazing as they arrived for prom Saturday night! They seemed to enjoy themselves as they experienced their night in the “Enchanted Forest.” There are just 10 instructional days remaining before EOC Exam and Summer Opportunity: Students who pass their EOC class (Biology, Math I, Math 3, & ENG II) and are not proficient on the EOC will be expected to take the EOC again during the Summer Opportunity. Our Awards Day Program will be held on Wednesday, April 24, at 3:00 p.m. in the Brown Auditorium. The ECHS prom will be held in the Brown Auditorium on Saturday, April 27th, from 8:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Scholars who have purchased tickets will receive them this week from the front office beginning on Tuesday. Exam week will start May 13-17! See the flyers about Exam Schedule and College Book Returns. Remember, EOCs are mandatory. You can not be exempt from English II, Math I, Math III, or Biology EOCs.
