Good evening, Eagle Families!
This is Principal McGeachy with updates for the coming week. This will be a short week for our scholars because Friday, March 15th, is a Mandatory Teacher Work Day, and there will be no school for scholars:
First, on Tuesday, our Student Government Association will host its annual talent show, and scholars who have chosen to perform will have an opportunity to share their talents. Funds generated from ticket sales will be used to fund our prom and various community service projects. The ACT make-up test will also be administered on Tuesday for those scholars who were unable to take the test on the initial date.
On Wednesday, our Super Seniors will host a Waffle Fundraiser in the Nash Community College Café to generate funds for their end-of-year trip. We thank Ms. Melodie Strickland, café manager, for agreeing to support this event.
Thursday, March 14th, is National Pi Day, a celebration of the mathematical constant, which equates to 3.14. Our math teachers are sure to have something special in store for our scholars. Also on Thursday, representatives from Barton College will be on campus to meet with our scholars and share information about the college.
Lastly, although scholars have no classes on Friday, cap and gown pictures will be taken by LifeTouch from 8:00 a.m. until 2:40 p.m. Scholars should refer to the guidance provided by LifeTouch in preparation for their photo appointment. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Tabitha Edwards.
As always, thanks for your support. I encourage you to visit our web page and social media sites for updated information about our school. Enjoy the rest of your evening!
